Thomas sabo charmsBrough, known to Utahns as a gifted geographer, an enthusiastic junior high teacher, and an amiable weatherman for ABC4-KTVX until 2008, is also the current president of the Richard Brough Family Organization or paper bag printing RBFO.

I GREW up in a rugby housS ehold - my dad, John, was a scrum- half for Bristol and Somerset in the 60s and 70s - but I never wanted to play. I was afraid I might get hurt!
But when I was 15 I saw an item on local TV about Kathryn Darby, who was 20 and refereeing men's matches in the Bristol Combination. I said to dad "I want to do that" and after he was sure that I was sure, he called Dolly Dawson, an old team-mate and friend, who put me in contact with the Bristol Referees'' Society.
I started going to Thursday training sessions and, after a while, I began running the line for Kathyrn. I'll always be very grateful to her because I learned how to referee from a girl's perspective, a few little things like how to approach changing rooms.
Kathryn was young, studying for a law degree, refereeing and having a lot of fun ... in short, everything that I wanted to do.
The next season I started refereeing. My first game was the second half of a Chew Valley Under-12s fixture and things went from there ... more junior matches, second-team school games, colts and Thomas sabo charms then my first men's third team match, Bishopston against Gordano.
I was really nervous - I was only 16 and young enough to be the grand-daughter of a lot of the players - but they were great, very patient and they listened to what I was saying, even though I'm sure I didn't get everything right!
Right from the start, the Bristol Society have been fabulous to me and very supportive. I had a mentor for those first eight weeks, and he helped give me the confidence Prada Replica Handbags to make the transition from colts to senior rugby.
The clubs have also been very open-minded and there has never been any "what are you doing here?" I've never been made to feel unwelcome, though sometimes people assume I'm the physio when I turn up.
I've also had people say to me "we were a bit worried when you arrived but you weren't as bad as we thought you were going to be!" I'm now 27 and have been refereeing for more than 10 years.
It's a big part of my life and something I look forward to every week.
The opportunities I've had have been unbelievable ... three trips to the USA, visiting the Bahamas for an IRB 7s qualifying tournament, and refereeing Holland against Brazil in Amsterdam, as well as trips all over the country.
I've never been Clip on charms treated any differently because I'm a woman and I've never been scared or felt intimidated. I love football but I don't think I could be a football referee because of the abuse they take, it doesn't seem enjoyable to me.
I've sent off five players in my career. It's something I hate doing, it ruins your day and it's not why I'm out there. But when you don't have a choice, you have to do it.
There are times when it's hard work and lonely, you don't have 14 team-mates to pick you up if you have a bad day. When that happens I'm upset and disappointed with myself, and if you don't feel that upset then I don't think you should be doing it.
I enjoy the art of refereeing and managing so many different types of people and characters within a game I love.
And I think those skills have helped me in my job as a child- care solicitor.

June 1, 2006. It was an unusual morning in the Orange City. The first major terror attack in the city had just been foiled by an alert police team near the RSS headquarters after three alleged Pakistan-based terrorists were gunned down in an early morning action.
links of londonThis was Nagpur's first brush with terror, but the city has a history of flaring up at the slightest provocation, mostly because of caste tensions. The Khairlanji incident of 2006, when a Dalit man's wife and daughter were brutally killed by OBC men, set off a major agitation, which the police had a hard time controlling.
If its conflict-ridden past makes Nagpur a potential terror target, there are other reasons too. It is centrally located and is known to offer safe transit for extremists and rebels of all hues, including Naxalites and activists of the banned Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI). Maharashtra's Naxalite hotbed, Gadchiroli, is not far from here. SIMI could once count on a substantial base here and ATS sleuths suspect many of its former activists Fendi Replica Handbags may have simply gone underground.
Add to this Nagpur's emerging status as a developing metro. With its IT parks, manufacturing units, international airport and cargo hub, Nagpur attracts talent from all over India and beyond. There has been tremendous industrial expansion in areas bordering the city, such as Butibori and Hingna. Foreign students are flocking to new educational institutions, pushing up the quotient of 'outsiders'. Nagpur, which was always the heart of tiger territory, is an increasingly popular foreign tourist destination.
Is the city conscious of its new vulnerability? Yes, says its police commissioner Praveen Dixit. "We have large numbers of police mitras (friends) in every police station who are our strength. They have regular meetings and are briefed about their roles," he says, adding that "in every division, we have special squads deployed round the clock."
Nagpur has a relatively new Quick Response Team, which is equipped with sophisticated weapons to deal with a 26/11-style attack. It also has a police squad with commando training.
Its proud commissioner says Nagpur is perhaps India's postcard printing only city to ensure a security detail at all exit and entry points.
But it's not entirely a sunshine story. The city police is beset by a manpower crunch and vacancies at senior levels. So is the intelligence wing.

postcard printingA YOUNG Galway woman plans to become the first Irish adult to travel to China for the controversial stem cell treatment which she hopes will restore her sight.
Valerie Dolan, 24, was a beauty therapy student when she woke up one morning in April 2004 to find she could not see. Six years on, after trying everything from conventional drugs and 'acupuncture, hyperbaric oxygen therapy, and even a faith healer', Valerie and boyfriend Matthew Monaghan are going to China for the experimental treatment.
With less than 20pc vision, Valerie is legally blind. Within a few weeks of her sight failing, doctors had diagnosed inflammation of the optic nerve caused, in her case, by a virus. And although medics were able to take down the swelling, Valerie's vision did not return.
'They told me I would never regain my eyesight, that I'd never lead a normal life again because of it,' says Valerie, pictured. 'From the day it first happened to that point, I was thinking, "ah, it'll come back", but that day I Clip on charms cried my eyes out.' After years of disappointment, the young woman from the village of Abbeyknockmoy has decided to travel to China where staff at Chengyang People's Hospital administer experimental stem cell jabs.
Prada Replica HandbagsTheoretically, the stem cells, which can adapt to take on the form of any cell in the body, will regenerate the damaged optic nerve in six weeks.
With a price tag of e50,000 it doesn't come cheap. But Valerie's friends and family have rallied around, raising money for the trip.
Valerie is trying not to get her hopes up, admitting that for some people, the treatment simply does not work. But as boyfriend Matthew says: 'We're hoping for the best.'

EATING disorders like anorexia and bulimia are often seen as female problems. But of the 1.6 million people in Britain thought to suffer from them 11% are men, according to Beat, a charity working to raise awareness of the condition.
"I remember it like it was yesterday," says former TV presenter Steve Blacknell of when day his battle with bulimia began.
"It was1976, and I was lunching with important record execs on a expense account. I had just landed a glamorous job as an A&R at a big record company in London, and was working with bands like the Moody Blues, Jethro Tull and Steely Dan.
"But I was nervous. I'd always been a bit flabby, and in this business with thin pop stars, it paid to be thin, too. So after I'd eaten my prawn cocktail starter, I went to the toilet and threw it up.
"Then I did the same with my main course and dessert. I still don't know what triggered it exactly, but it felt good.
"It felt like a tool I could use to bring out now and again to control how much I was eating and how I looked."
catalog printingSpeaking out about his experience in support of Eating Disorders Awareness Week (February 22-28), Blacknell says he'd always struggled with his weight and began bingeing when he was in his teens.
"But it was at this job that it all began to spiral. I'd find myself looking at my tummy all the time and weighing myself.
"If I had a function to go to, I'd stay in for three or four days and not eat. I'd drink coffee all day, take a laxative and rope myself to my bed so that I wouldn't get up in the middle of the night to eat.
"My girlfriend at the time (now his wife) would even help me padlock the door to the kitchen at night."
According to the Institute of Psychiatry, King's College, London, eating disorders are most common in women aged 15-25.
The cause is usually a combination of triggers, and can include stress, low self-esteem, the death of someone close, problems at work or university, sexual or emotional abuse or difficulties in family relationships.
Ex deputy prime minister John Prescott admitted stress led him to become bulimic while in government. Most men with eating disorders want to look healthy, says Mary George of Beat.
"Males with eating disorders tend to focus on the 'body beautiful' and 'healthy body' of replica balenciaga handbags the six-packed figures on men's health magazines, and will overexercise and cut down on food to attain that image," she explains.
Blacknell, who used to host BBC pop show Riverside, says no matter how thin he was, he was never thin enough. "I'd already lost about four stone, but then the worst happened: I became a TV presenter," he says.
"Telly adds about eight pounds to your image, and I was so desperate to look thin on my first day I remember throwing up 30 minutes before I went live."
However, the constant retching was taking a toll. His windpipe was ruptured, oesophagus damaged and stomach constantly cramped from bile and acid.
When his girlfriend suggested acupuncture, he noticed a change. "After about four to five months of acupuncture, I realised I no longer had cravings to binge or purge," he says. "I went on telly and talked about my addiction and it felt great.
