VANDALS attacked 15 cars near Cheltenham town centre.

Between 1am and 1.25am on Friday, the vehicles along St Anne's Road and Hewlett Road had their wing mirrors ripped off.

One male resident in St Anne's Street, who didn't want to be named, said: "It happens periodically along here. It's a thoroughfare for people heading back home from pubs and clubs and it's not particularly well lit."

A female resident whose housemate had their car damaged said: "It's happened before and it's just not nice. It obviously costs money to catalog printing repair."

Police are asking residents to contact them if they saw or heard a disturbance around the time.

Two 21-year-old men from the town have been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage in connection with the incident. Both have been bailed to return to Cheltenham Police Station on May 4.
